Cotton-Type CORLEN® FIBER is our high modulus and very high tenacity polyester fiber. This product is appropriate to work in blends with cotton, viscose and other fibers in all staple fiber spinning systems (Ring, Open End and Air Jet).
The yarns obtained through any system have excellent processability properties in all types of weaving processes (woven, circular knit, etc.).
According to the air shrinkage (190ºC, 15 min) the following types of fibers are determined:
The shrinkage properties of this product are considered medium to low, since it ranges from 6 to 10%.
Yarn elongations tend to be low, and thus it is recommended for women and men outer wear.
This fiber is specially recommended for printing foundations and piece dying. Regarding pre-dyed yarns, pre-stabilization through steaming may or may not be required, depending on the blend, decitex and dying process. Generally, this process is not required.

Due to its low shrinkage (less than 6.5%), this fiber is considered a specialty within the group of fibers produced for cotton spinning.
This fiber is specially recommended for specific applications such as pre-dyed yarns and sewing threads.
This product is appropriate to produce woven and non-woven interlinings.
