At the end of 2009, Enka de Colombia S.A counts with 908 direct jobs, including new 342 workers whom were in associated job cooperatives by tasks.

One of the main human resources strategies was a management competence model focused in the skills to the commercial area with the main purpose to gain and improve the performance of the sales team to the domestic and foreign markets.

Enka de Colombia S.A believes in the future of Colombia and this is the reason why during 2009 gave education aid to the worker´s families for a total amount for US$517,000 and reaching more than 2,571 people.

Another very important wellbeing factor is health. The Company paid US$451,000 for health plans for an average of 1425 beneficiaries, including all the employees and their family groups.

During last year and according with the corporate strategy , the workers took part in several technical and training programs, plus many personal growing talks with the main purpose to improve the quality of living for themselves and their families.

The Primary Groups, Participating Circles -29 groups, 192 workers- and Autonomous Groups -8 groups, 69 maintenance workers- gave a great contribution to the team work inside our company.

Our CEO´s talks to the plant and administrative people had a relevant place in our communications policy. In addition, the publication “Enkasa” has became an important channel for all the company.

Other remarkable event was the seventh children’s painting festival with the participation of 230 children, whom joined this day with around 250 people, among parents and friends.

Finally, during 2009 the Company paid USD $ 5,9 million in taxes, USD $ 2.34 million in social security and USD $ 0.97 million in other payroll related items.
