EkoŽ is Enka de Colombia new trademark for its ecological high value-added products made from recycled PET bottles. This new line of products was launched to invite our customers and end users to joint with our commitment with the environment and the society.
Conscious of the importance of closing the PET life cycle and taking advantage of its knowledge and experience in resins and synthetic fibers production, Enka de Colombia developed an ambitious project to convert recycled bottles into resins, fibers and filaments, useful in multiple textile and plastics applications with similar properties than those from the petrochemical chain.
With this initiative, Enka de Colombia contributes to reduce Colombias contamination produced by more than 1.500 million of PET bottles that every year are disposed, polluting rivers, beaches and fields or in the best of the cases, in landfills.
