Enka is a Colombian company focused on a Circular Economy, with the largest PET recycling plant of South America, and is one of the major players of man-made fibers and filaments in Latin America. During Q3 of 2019, we launched the new project of EKO® Fibers, investing close to USD 6 million. Initially, we developed every product of the current portfolio and then we will proceed with new fibers and applications. With leading technology implemented, we will reach the market with a larger top-quality portfolio, complementing our supply of sustainable solutions for different solutions, mainly construction and linens. This will enable us to increase our exports of EKO® Fibers, which represented 50% of our revenue in recent years. EKO® Filaments in turn offer clients the chance to develop fashion with social and environmental responsibility, and give value to their brands which increasingly reach clients that are more demanding and committed, and prefer sustainable companies. Making us of the special hand, comfort and range of colors, EKO® Filaments are mainly used for swimwear and sportswear, and will be part of the uniforms of sports teams that will represent our country in different international events. Enka continues making novel products that stand out for their sustainability, high performance and added-value. Today, more than 50% of the products are made of recycled raw materials.
