During the 2019 Colombiatex de las Americas trade show, Enka presented innovative solutions which are part of our green products portfolio, including EKO® Filaments, EKO® Fibers and EKO® Resins.
Our EKO® Filaments are manufactured from recycled PET bottles and provide new possibilities to develop fashion with social and environmental responsibility. Besides, they contribute special hand and garment comfort features.
In addition, alongside fashion trends, we will be offering our specialties mainly targeted to new healthy life styles:
- Air Filaments: Made of nylon and polyester, air-texturized, which confer comfort, versatility and high performance to garments.
- Micro-Filaments: Microfibers made of nylon and polyester, which contribute to textiles softness, fall, elegance and flexibility, allowing clients to develop innovative garments.
- Jaspe Filaments: An intimate blend of nylon and polyester that boosts their properties, creating yarns with two-color effects and increased functional versatility.
Within our home line, we underscore our Ultrasoft EKO® Fibers, designed to provide refills the sensation of a natural feature. These are ideal to manufacture pillows, cushions, comforters – all environmentally-friendly. These fibers are anti-allergenic, odorless, wear resistant and easy to wash.
Enka continues transforming the ordinary into extraordinary, turning raw materials into novel products set aside for their sustainability, high performance and added value. Hence, more than 50% of the products we make come from recycled raw materials.
