Enka and Dow signed an alliance to jointly expand the post-consumption plastics market in Colombia, which responds to the commitment both organizations have to the Circular Economy.
Priority will be initially given to the development of high added-value resins from the plastic caps of bottles recycled by Enka, which are later incorporated to flexible packages for different industries.

Enka is convinced that the alliance with Dow is promising, and once again shows the commitment of both companies to innovation with social and environmental responsibility”.
Said alliance is part of a global commitment of Dow activities to create solutions to incorporate plastics in a Circular Economy. In February this year, Dow made a similar alliance with a Brazilian startup specialized in the Boomerange circular economy, collaborating for the development of a new top-quality plastic resin from post-consumption recycled material.
On the other hand, this alliance for Enka, along with the three existing PET and Polyolefines plants plus the investment in a new production of EKO® PET resin, consolidates its position in PET packaging recycling worldwide, recovering close to 6 million bottles a day.
